Rules used

• Hourly pay = base pay ÷ 30 ÷ 8.
• Workday overtime: first 2 hours ×1.34, 3rd and 4th hour ×1.67.
• Work on a rest day: first 2 hours ×1.34, hours 3–8 ×1.67, hours 9–12 ×2.67.
• Work on a national holiday: one extra day's pay.
• Minimum wage from 1 January 2026: NT$29,500 per month, NT$196 per hour.
• Home caregivers/domestic workers are not covered by the Labor Standards Act. Hours, days off and day-off pay follow the contract. Here we count one day's pay for each day off not taken — check your contract.
• Maximum agency service fee per month: 1st year NT$1,800, 2nd year NT$1,700, 3rd year onward NT$1,500. Only with a contract and actual service; never charged in advance.
