Hold onHold the table leg until the shaking stops.
- Don't run outside while it's still shaking. Things can fall from above.

- If you're outside: stay away from buildings, glass and power poles.
During a typhoon
- Follow the work-suspension announcement (停止上班) from the city where you work or live.
- If work is suspended and you don't go in, your employer may not count it as absence or force you to take leave. Employers are advised not to deduct pay, but the law doesn't require it.
- If you still have to work, your employer should help with transport and pay extra.
- Home caregivers/domestic workers: follow your contract and put your and the elderly person's safety first.
- Get water, food, a flashlight and a power bank ready. Stay away from windows. Don't go to beaches, rivers or mountains.
